FRPA Welcomes Architect of the Capitol Thomas Austin

FRPA welcomes the newly appointed Architect of the Capitol Thomas Austin for a luncheon discussion at noon on November 14 in Gensler’s headquarters at 2020 K Street, NW.

The Architect of the Capitol oversees 570 acres, 15 major government buildings, 2,250 staff, and a budget of $1.3 billion. These are some of the country’s most iconic structures including, the US. Capitol, House and Senate Office Buildings, Capitol Visitor Center, Library of Congress Buildings, and U.S. Supreme Court Building. Over 25 million people have visited the the U.S. Capitol Visitor’s Center since it opened in 2008. The 10-year, $971 million Cannon House Office Building renovation is now in its 4^th and final stage.
