Join the Federal Real Property Association for a lunchtime program exploring how the U.S. Courts manage their capital program and long-term real property needs.

The discussion will provide an overview of the Judiciary’s space and facilities program.  Topics will include their capital planning process and the organization and governance of the federal courts’ facilities program.  Panelists will also address how courts are considered for new courthouse projects, the unique design needs for courthouses, and how project priorities are established.

Additional topics will include:

  • Policies governing courtroom sharing
  • The applicability of executive branch orders to the Judiciary
  • Judiciary’s initiative to seek real property authority separate from GSA

The program will offer practical insight into the federal Judiciary’s approach to capital planning, facilities management, and courthouse development.
